Settling in another country does not mean that our ties with our home country are broken. People often continue to be subject to the law of their home country even when they are resident abroad.<\/p>

In various situations involving private law, foreigners may be subject to the law of the country where they settle, or they may need to understand it and abide by it if they decide to invest in that country. It then also becomes necessary to understand the socio-cultural environment in they are investing.<\/p>

This is why national legal professionals are fundamental in advising people on managing and understanding such issues, which may also relate to foreign law.<\/p>

This website aims to offer legal advice to individuals and \/ or legal entities in matters relating to private rights regulated essentially by Brazilian law and also by foreign law.<\/p>

Having been admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association of Bahia under No. 12,724, I have more than ten years\u2019 experience as a practicing lawyer in the south of Bahia, and as a lecturer in the field of International Law. During this time, I also held the post of Municipal Attorney of the Municipality of Ilh\u00e9us.<\/p>

In Geneva, Switzerland, where I have been living for more than ten years, I have completed a Master\u2019s degree in Development Studies, specializing in International Cooperation, at the prestigious Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) of the University of Geneva, and have worked as Junior Legal Adviser for the ILO Programme on HIV\/AIDS and the World of Work of the International Labour Organization (ILO). In addition, I have worked as interpreter and translator; I am a member of the Board of Directors and teacher of Portuguese as a foreign language at the Ra\u00edzes Association for Brazilian language and culture in Geneva; and I act as a commercial consultant at the Cart\u00f3rio Mais de Mogi das Cruzes \u2013 SP.<\/p>

My working languages are Portuguese, French and English.<\/p>
